Aconteceu ontem, dia 12, mais uma edição do VMA 2021, essa que comemorou 40 anos da MTV. Para começar Madonna foi a responsável por abrir a premiação. Em seguida, foi a vez de The Kid Laroi fazer sua estreia em premiações e uniu forças com Justin Bieber que retornava depois de anos, os dois cantaram o hit “Stay” e depois Bieber cantou “Ghost” que depois voltou ao palco para receber o prêmio de “Artist Of The Year”.
Sem muito tempo para respirar, Olivia Rodrigo cantou “good 4 u” e agitou a plateia com muito rock e posteriormente, a jovem ganhou o primeiro de “Song Of The Year”, uma das categorias mais importantes.
Depois tivemos uma performance de Lil Nas X, como prometido, com os hits “Industry Baby” com o Jack Harlow e “Montero” que inclusive ganhou a categoria mais importante da noite com “Video Of The Year”.
Entre as principais apresentações da noite, sem ser a do rapper já citado, a host do VMA 2021, Doja Cat, trouxe uma perfomance mais íntima de “Been Like This” e “Your Right”, já preparando terreno para o próximo álbum que a rapper já revelou que será íntimo e vulnerável.
Durante o tapete vermelho, o lutador de MMA Connor McGregor tentou ir para cima de Machine Gun Kelly. Parece que o rapper se recusou em tirar uma foto com o lutador, que não gostou nada e partiu para cima. Megan Fox estava no meio da confusão, mas ninguém se machucou. O rapper fez uma apresentação junto com Travis Barker.
Houve apresentação de Anitta, mas ela foi exibida somente durante o intervalo comercial nos Estados Unidos e isso deixou os brasileiros bem decepcionados, pois não conseguiram ver ao vivo a carioca que fez história sendo a primeira brasileira a se apresentar no VMA.
Foram vários os momentos memoráveis. Beyoncé fez história ao ganhar a categoria “Melhor Cinematografia” com “Brown Skin Girl” . Beyoncé se tornou a artista mais premiada na história do VMA. Enquanto isso, Blue Ivy, se torna a pessoa mais jovem a ganhar um prêmio.
